How about the sand dolphin!   There was a family sand modeling event at the Broulee beach while we where there on holidays over the New Year.  It was such a great community event, over 40 groups or individuals building sand models of all varieties; a dragon, mermaids’, vehicles’, a model of a boy in a boat with a tiger from ‘The Life of Pi’ and many more.  As people walked slowly around to view each model they smiled impressed, amazed or amused by the work, the beach was full of people, locals and tourists smiling and walking slowly, relaxed and happy.

We went early to the inlet to play, build, swim we would be home at 11am for an early lunch, some easy craft; play dough, sticker books or water-colour painting (the easy kids of crafting to take on holidays), after three pm we would head back to the beach for an afternoon swim, repeat each day, it made for a great holiday.

Oh and by the way Happy New Year!!
