We enjoyed making paper, it’s easy, so we made another batch with Fox, adding flower seeds instead of parsley.

A visit to a school friend, a catch up with her little boys on her farm.  A lovely day, sunny and warm, home-made; pasta, chocolate eclairs, cups of tea, easy & honest conversation.  I wish there were more days like this with Emma and with other friends.

I wish there was more time to catch up with other friends over cups of tea that weekend, it was just so lovely to see so many school friends at our 20…..yes ’20’ year school reunion.

a monday walk

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA walking home on MondayThis is what I saw on our way home from school on Monday.  I haven’t handled the camera much lately.   Poppy opted to go in the stroller rather than on the bike or scooter, a rare choice.  Because I didn’t have to hold on to Poppy and because Gil slept I was free to capture a few observations on our way home.

making connections

joan's handLittle squeeze for the baby from the warm hands of a newly made friend.  Babies do that, they make friends so easily.

It’s been a long few weeks; sick Poppy, followed by sick baby, followed by week away, followed by sick baby. Hopefully to be followed by weeks of good health and winter sunshine…..

outside

autumn days OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMark is interstate today with his parents. We missed him, I miss him more than any of us.

Our three special beans spent as much time as possible outside in the wide open spaces, room to run, space to be loud and sun to shine on their sweet, noisy heads.  Soon it will be too cold to spend long stints outside.

Early bath with lots of splashing and noise, followed by more noise and bouncing around, they seemed far more bouncy than usually today.  Poor little Gil he only barely escapes being bounced upon by the big ones.

An easy dinner made by their own hands which they then licked clean.  Their Daddy will be home when they wake, and their world be full and loud and bouncy.

out n about OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASecond photo – Fox’s own security pass.  Fox made it today because we were taking Gil to meet Daddo’s work colleagues, after a brief stop at the park to lap up rays of sunshine, burn off some energy, or in Gil’s case catch up on some sleep.

About 9am
Poppy (singing) “I love you Gil, I love you Gil, I love you Gil, I love you Gil, I love you Gil….. I love you Gil”
Fox  (singing) “l love you Mummy and Gil”

About 9:10am
Fox “Mama are you going to give Gil to Pete?”
Poppy “No Fox! I love him!”

No question, we are keeping you Gil…. forever!
